tender early fireweed leaves and shoots edible early in season, washed and added to salad and seasoned or low temp stir fry.

early shoots are more vertical. become more horizontal with time and more bitter taste.

@kristinaennis yes, i know it's a weird one to think of, but to use less energy from streaming networks right to your house, watch lower def. TV channels wherever possible and pick lower resolution videos on streaming services. pick 720p on shows & movies, even youtube videos can be run lower!

They are generating heat waste day and night, 24/7

Unplug unused receivers esp. if not recording anything

HD TV and stream svc. use more energy from source to home at high res.!!

@kristinaennis @camspinney AFAIK, they will take bundles of cardboard, neatly tied, as long as they don't exceed 6 feet in length or too unwieldy

i know that doesn't work as well as the great tip of putting flyers, glossy paper and shiny consumer packaging cardboard boxes in a brown cardboard box (above)
