The moment I entered, I started seeing posters mocking the Prime Minister. Not posters demanding justice for the NEET paper leak. Not posters about the CBSE issues. Not posters highlighting the larger problems students are facing in education.

It was almost entirely about PM Modi. That’s what made it feel so politically targeted.

A protest usually has a clear demand - a “maang” that those in power are being asked to fulfill. But here, I saw opposition leaders being welcomed with applause and affection, while many Gen Z attendees who had simply come to observe were being exposed to a strongly political narrative.

There’s nothing wrong with holding a protest against the Prime Minister if that’s your objective. Be transparent about it. But don’t organize it in the name of NEET, display photographs of students who lost their lives by suicid£, and then turn the stage into something that appears focused on politics rather than the students’ demands.

If the issue is political, call it political. If the issue is NEET, keep the focus on NEET. Mixing the two, especially while invoking the memory of students who died, felt deeply shameful to me.

Chewang Norphel was the first to invent the concept of making artificial glaciers, ice stupas & providing water to Ladakh and by 2012, he had made 12 such glaciers with the total cost of only ₹ 90000.

For this work, Norfil won the Jamnalal Bajaj award for Application of Science and Technology for Rural Development for constructing these ice stupas in 2010. He was also awarded the Padma Shri by the President of India in 2015.

Chor Sonam Wangchuk was brought to artificial fame by Turkish Aamir Khan through '3 Idiots' with a special intention & agenda and then credit for these Ice Stupas was wrongly & intentionally given to him. Besharam Chor today sings songs of Honesty, but shamelessly accepted Rolex Awards for Enterprise in 2016 for same Ice Stupas which were invented by someone else who had already got acclaims in 2010 & 2015.

The Home Ministry had cancelled the FCRA licence of the NGO run by Sonam Wangchuk, called SECMOL, which was receiving funds from mainly USA and China. Despite this, SECMOL continued to receive funds through foreign entities through hidden pathways, cards, and unauthorized networks.
Amit Shah brought new rules for FCRA in June 2026.

Immediately after the new rules of FCRA were imposed, Sonam Wangchuk joined the CJP protest on a hunger strike on June 28, 2026.
