From 15 APR to 06 JUN , the NCOTW ran the 10 Infantry Platoon Sergeants Course (IPSC). Over these arduous 8 weeks, the students were trained in offensive and defensive operations and were exercised in leadership positions at PL and COY level in extremely kinetic situations.
Congratulations to all who passed the Basic Infantry Close Reconnaissance Course conducted by 28 INF BN. The course intent is to train and qualify Infantry Pte’s, NCOs and Officers to operate within the Battalion’s Reconnaissance Platoon.
The 19th All Arms Standard NCO Course commenced this week in the Infantry School. Camaraderie and Esprit de Corps was high amongst the NCO students as they completed a frosty 8km Combat Fitness Assessment and commenced their combat estimate and Operational orders training.
Land Command & Staff Course students underwent a General Terrain Examination on 07Dec23. In order to qualify they must demonstrate analysis & critical thinking as commanders in the application of MDMP to the planning of complex land component operations within a Battalion context
Students on the 6th Land Command and Staff Course participate in Exercise 'Timolin Beag' (Battalion Level Defence) and Exercise Open Door (Battalion Level FIBUA). This module tests officers, under strict time pressure, on their application of the Military Decision Making Process.
The Infantry Tactical Competition conducted by the NCO Training Wing on 27 Sep tested units on section level tactics & military skills. Each team demonstrated the physical & mental resilience which embodies the #infantry culture. Congrats to the overall winners, 1 MIC DFTC.
Yesterday, in conjunction with the Infantry School, the 68 Infantry Group conducted APC Live Fire Tactical Training ahead of their deployment to UNDOF.
LFTT remains a vital component of training for a unit preparing to deploy overseas.

Our team has successfully completed the "Stalk." This event challenges competitors to infiltrate to a location without being detected by an enemy force, move to a final firing position, gather battlefield int, execute a shot and exfill undetected to friendly lines.
