Why are we still teaching high school math classes like it’s 1800? We need to teach the math students will actually use in their daily lives and careers. (I love being a math nerd in the summer) #datascience4all@joboaler is my hero!
Our English and history classes are taught around a single theme. It helps kids see the relevance. E.g Justice & Mercy, or Rise & Fall of Civs. Reflecting on the loss of a great American this week, a new class is in the works #goodtrouble. This’ll be fun to forward his legacy!
Some our students just completed a course on Justice and Mercy--started the class reading Bryan's book; ended it interviewing courageous people like him bringing mercy and justice to others. Let his story inspire you!
