Not only does it give kids a real-world example of the scientific process, it also allows them to be part of the solution to an environmental problem.
That can combat the hopelessness youth often feel around environmental issues and climate.
I have a GOOD NEWS ‼️ environment story today! Last week, @schroeh, our video intern Tony and I went up to the Dells to observe a brand-new program that teaches youth how to monitor for invasive carp. https://t.co/ExzOnjf6wa

Olivia and I worked so hard on this series for weeks. There were constant conversations about what the public needed to know and how to get that information. I couldn’t be prouder of the work we produced! Wish I was in NH to celebrate!
got to add "award-winning sports writer" to my resume last night lol
Seriously. I'm always humbled to be recognized for my work, but to receive state and regional honors in my first year with my hometown paper @Keene_Sentinel still blows my mind. Thank you.

I am very lucky to have editors who advocate for and promote my work, as well as coworkers who are far better at sharing my accomplishments. Thank you for all of the kind words, guys! 💜

It’s my Sentinel-versary! In 3 years @Keene_Sentinel, I’ve had 3 different roles, and 3 different headshots by @schroeh (who celebrated her 2nd anniversary yesterday!). I’ve learned and grown so much, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who’s joined me on this journey. Onward!
What a classic local news story. Kudos to @JamesRinkerKS for wondering "Has anyone else noticed that guy who just jams out downtown?" And then following through to tell his story. Excellent visuals from @schroeh, too. https://t.co/pdfn8TwDFG via @Keene_Sentinel
