House Bill 0326 sounds better as the “Jordan McNair Act” keeping our student athletes safe in Maryland’s institutions of higher education .https://t.co/TZKI2l3ANE
The Zachary Martin Act requires schools to have cooling tubs or other means to quickly lower the body temperature of athletes experiencing heat trauma. It also requires schools to have defibrillators, which can save victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

You know what’s hilarious? @HillsboroughSch is only allocating $270k to pay for 28 athletic trainers. Yet Manatee County, 1 hour away, has $327k for 6 Athletic Trainers AND hires their ATs as county employees. At least one county in the area(ish) gets it #AT4All

Imagine having 28 public high schools in a county- 11 of the schools have no athletic trainer & 10 schools have an AT there FOR ONLY 8 HOURS THE WHOLE WEEK. Then having LPNs provide coverage from 10am-2pm when football starts at 7am. Welcome to @HillsboroughSch@HCPSAthletics
Jeopardy question today... Answer: 0.02% of the federal budget
