Yesterday, Chief Jeff Happ retired from @ColsFire after nearly 33 years of service to @ColumbusGov citizens.

He was a man of great integrity, vision and commitment. A kind, decent and honorable man. He was loved by everyone in the community. He grew up here and his kids now serve.

Neither @cbuscitycouncil, @ColumbusSafety nor @MayorGinther had the decency to honor him by highlighting his service on their social media pages. They just completely ignored his service and shut the door on him when he walked out.

A grosteque, but completely expected, display of selfishness, discourteousness and smallness of character by all of them, but most pointedly by Director Kate Pishotti. It didn’t surprise anyone, but it’s still so sad to see it and to realize how little she thinks of those who dedicated their lives to this City.
