We've been studying stratification of colloids in films for several years now. Usually we see small particles near the surface when Pe is high (evaporation is greater than colloid diffusion). Recently, @SchulzMalin looked at what happens when D is lowered by a high viscosity. 1/3
It was so nice to take a hike by the River Wey and have a drink with the Soft Matter Group, but sad to say farewell to @SchulzMalin - until we meet again.

Several @PhysicsatSurrey Soft Matter students worked v. hard to put together a @SEPhysics Student Conf. planned for March. Sadly it was cancelled b/c of #COVID19. They didn’t give up and today are presenting their conference on-line. I’m proud of their resilience and enthusiasm!
