Looking to include more psychology into my practice. I work in LA SEND team with families and professionals. Anything worth checking out? #edutwitter#edpsy
@paigegarb95 Exactly what I thought! I work in SEND and still the system is scary and confusing, extremely frustrating she’s been misadvised by her local MS. Thank you x
#edutwitter a friend was advised by a MS primary school that they didn’t take children in nappies and she needs to search for a special school. Her child has a speech delay, I don’t usually work with EYFS children but this is a load of rubbish isn’t it?
Have started working with a girl who left her teaching role after 2 years. She said she was hospitalised with stress, and whilst they were placing the IV, school were ringing telling her it was unprofessional that she’d not sent in cover 🤦🏼♀️ #edutwitter
@MeetTheNeeds@foreverwhu23@MissHoIIinshead@Gwenelope@MrTs_NQTs So interesting to hear from others doing my role! Completely agree with the sentiment of frustration and anger. It can be draining when families and sometimes other professionals feel we are doing things they don’t agree with just for the thrill of it,p.
@MissHoIIinshead@MrTs_NQTs I quit during my NQT and became and now write EHCPs for my LA. Varied and progression if you want it, but no interaction with kids so planning on training to go into educational psychology!
@pipkinzoo @foreverwhu23@MeetTheNeeds@MissHoIIinshead@Gwenelope@MrTs_NQTs I made the switch a year and a half ago, it’s a different kind of tough and I miss the interaction with kids but can be interesting! I know that my LA and surrounding are desperate for caseworkers but a lot are just hiring temps at the mo!
