How are Journals made? Why do we pay a fee? What are the projects?

My general impressions from Day 2 at #ISEV200 are:
1) EVs unite multiple disciplines
2) Lego Bricks can be used to standardize platelet-free plasma production
3) In person conferences are much more fun than reading papers or Zoom Calls
