Students & teachers should not have to worry about being shot at school! A six year old can barely hold a pencil correctly, but one shot their teacher with a gun at school today. The trauma & harm that this school community is experiencing is far too common in our country.💔😢

@KawikaWatts @WeAreTeachers I’ve implemented ’Self Care’ Fridays in my Enrichment class. It’s been a blessing not only to me, but my students as well. Some use that time to catch up on work, others play Uno or do crafts. My ‘teaching’ that hour is modeling how to explore self care. ☮️

@JustinParmenter I appreciate you so much! 🥰 I try my hardest: eat lunch in my room and work the WHOLE time (when I’m not trying to squeeze in a bathroom break!) I use as many self-grading assignments as I can, I don’t grade EVERYthing, always have my lesson plan template open to add to it…!😰
