Somehow this year I completely forgot about the power of #edutwitter and lost site of my own growth as an educator. It’s time to start growing again so let the PD begin! #pd4uandme
@AlaneAdamsBooks You helped me once and I’d love if you could help my daughter’s teacher! She’s a brand new teacher who started in the middle of the year so she’s really building from the ground up. I’m sure she would love to build her classroom library! This is her list: https://t.co/mXQzXzJ3Sj
@NicholasFerroni I teach science and love gaming! Combine the two and you get my Etsy store where my husband and I sell 3D printed gaming accessories! I seriously have so much fun with it! https://t.co/YBOhIRUceF
@MeehanEDU @lippaofficial @OConnellHS Good luck in the new adventure! I hope it still keeps you in the education sphere because we still need your passion for education and games!
@MeehanEDU@kevenrinaman I may have to check that out! I’m always talking to my students about the 3D prints I do at home, it’d be great to find ways to infuse some of that into my class aside from the random decorations.
@HandInHandGP My husband and I run an Etsy shop where we sell 3D printed items for tabletop games. I love that I can incorporate my passion for science in something outside the classroom! https://t.co/8E4gef0JIP #sidegig#3dprinted#tabletopgaming#gamification
@NicholasFerroni We just got a new bed and it came in SEVEN boxes!! I’m pretty good with IKEA furniture, I’ve put together and taken down to move at least a dozen pieces, but this one has me questioning my abilities already.
@DeeSTEM_Teach I think I know exactly which post you’re talking about and it just made me cringe and want to cry. I do find some good ideas and resources there so I stay, but that idea was definitely not one of them.
@mrbgilson I have learned A LOT from other educators here which has changed my perspective on many issues in education (for the better), but mindless scrolling can also take me into black holes of doom and gloom. I have to step back every now and then and take a break from the craziness.
@DrKChilds My biggest eye opening moment when it comes to grading came when a friend asked why is it that A-D is 10 points but F is 60 points. That made me really start to think about the point of grading. Now I’m in a school with standards based and it makes so much more sense to me.
