You could have a DNP, MD, DrPH, PhD, RN, BSN, MPH, BS or all of those degrees combined and a Mexican mom would still give you medical and health advice.

Many sons/daughters of immigrants that go into a healthcare profession do so because they watched the healthcare system fail a family member. We’re trying to be those healthcare professionals, public health leaders, & advocates that we wished our family members would have had.

I am happy to report that burnout does not last forever. It is temporary and that passion that convinced you to pursue that degree will come back when the time and opportunity is right. Be patient with your process.
