Four years on from @STEMGamechange : we did some good stuff, but we're not actively managing the site any more. Our magazine lives at https://t.co/UrzSLSnlCb now as the domain expired, and we're still reachable here (intermittently) and via the contact form on the site.

Just under 4 years ago a bunch of people met at the @turinginst to look at diversity in STEM and try to change the game - @STEMGamechange. We spent a pretty intense few days analysing discussing and planning.
The manifesto https://t.co/vISjgLlUhY is great
The articles are great (take a look!)

but it's time to quietly shut the door on the project. I think it'll transition to a free site with ads, which is fine, it can stay there.
We didn't get funded but we did it anyway - wordpress hosting & a domain name wasn't too expensive. Anyway, (switch to first person) I think there's only one of us doing stuff now, and the hosting is up for renewal, and I've paid it for 4 years.
It's three years since we launched @STEMGamechange - it's been quite an odd three years but I think we have done some cool stuff. Momentum for side projects like Scientists Are Humans is hard to maintain, so things have wound down quite a bit. #MyTwitterAnniversary
Two of the Scientists Are Humans team have recently featured on the @MRC_LMS#suffragescience podcast recently: @CarronShankland and Hannah Dee

Give them a listen :)
@sap218 Was it specific advice or more general? Sounds like the kind of thing we might publish if it's general and you don't mind turning it into an article
@ArchaeologyFitz I keep meaning to write this up for SAH - but for the time being here's an old post I made on MetaFilter back in the day: https://t.co/1Rmmol2Tep
i also allocated myself FOUR hours for a dreaded admin work. which is a lot, considering my tendency to want to do things quickly. but now i think i know what it means to set myself kind deadlines like what's written in @scientistshuman manifesto π
One of our founders, Hannah Dee, hands over her @MRC_LMS#suffrage_science award today to @suesentance of the @Raspberry_Pi foundation

Students who nod into the video; students who look confused into the video; students who type questions into the chat; students who type "thank you" at the end of the lecture; we really appreciate it! These are all little bits of light in a dark impersonal sea of Zoom.
