Meet Ms. Ley - the Social Worker for the Science & Technology Academy @ SHS.
Outside of school, Ms. Ley spends most of her time attending tennis, hip hop, karate, & Girl Scouts with her own children. She also likes boating at their lake, & enjoys a game night with her family.

Meet Ms. Carmen Barbone! This year Ms. Barbone teaches CIS Public Speaking and 21st Century English in the S&T Academy. She also coaches for the Shakopee speech team!
Outside of school you will find her spending time with her family and friends, & raising her two kittens!
Meet Mr. Engdale! This year Adam is teaching English 11 and Humanities on top of running the Shakopee Literary & Arts Magazine and our Science & Technology academy.
When Adam is not in school you would probably find him reading comics, building something, or playing board games.
Join us Monday, October 17th from 3:00-4:00 PM at the Environmental Learning Center for "Fall Fest!" Yard Games, Apple Cider, Art, & A Nature Scavenger Hunt. It's going to be a blast - come on out and say hello!
Energy, Food, and the Outdoors classes designed, built, deployed and retrieved fish traps to survey fish populations in SHS pond. The goal is to record types of fish in the pond, including invasive fish. Students will report results to MN DNR’s invasive species tracking program.
Environmental Ethics studying biomimicry, learning from and mimicking strategies in nature to solve human challenges. In this case students investigated how macroinvertebrates are copied and used in fly fishing. Turns out, @SHSBoysSoccer1 senior captain, D. Harder…is a natural!
Environmental Ethics students visited Louisville Swamp to help develop a deeper understanding of Aldo Leopoldo’s Sand County Almanac. Body and mind learning! @AldoLeopoldFdn
S&T Biology students becoming global contributors by exploring the characteristics of a system. Students are focusing on population density of different species within a prairie system.
