The Media Only Loves Us When We’re Dead: Part II

I’m not done with this "reporter" yet. And I won’t stay silent while the media drags warfighters who bled for this nation and are now trying to make it better.

I’ll be honest, I’m ashamed I didn’t look deeper into the story of @SeanParnellUSA sooner. The GWOT cuts too close to my own scars, so I looked away from the broader history. But not anymore.

Media scrutiny isn’t new. Even George Washington was mocked in print. But the latest attacks on Sean Parnell say far more about the press than they do about him.

So pause and remember where you were on June 10, 2006.

1. The most popular song was Hips Don’t Lie.
2. The top movie was Cars.
3. And Sean Parnell was leading 39 men through a mountain ambush by over 250 enemy fighters. He was wounded three times, and stayed in the fight. By the end of that deployment, 85% of his platoon had been wounded.

Funny how you only get one Purple Heart for taking three hits in one battle, but a thousand paper cuts from the press for doing nothing wrong.

So let me get this straight: guys like him are good enough to fight your wars, bury their friends, and carry the silence of it all for the rest of their lives, but not good enough to help fix the institutions that failed them?

Who better than them?

You think you're criticizing one man. But behind every name you recognize is a platoon’s worth of warriors you never will. Quiet. Steady. Carrying the same resolve that got them all home. And whether you realize it or not, the hopes of a generation of warfighters rest quietly on his and @PeteHegseth's shoulders.

You forget: the fire that forged these men didn’t burn them up, it tempered them. And here’s the part you never seem to learn:

If you keep mocking the warriors who came home and tried to lead, don’t act surprised when fewer of them show up next time. Why would they?

Or maybe that’s the media's goal? But it won't work.

Because in this country, it seems the only time the media honors them... is when they’re coming home in a box draped in the American Flag.

First Pakistani-American woman joins both the U.S. Air Force and NYPD, then brags how both bent the rules for her.

• No hijab off, even in gas-mask training.
• Full uniform waivers.
• Modified PT so she could cover up.
• Taxpayer-funded halal meals.

She stood beneath the American and Pakistani flags and declared, "America accommodated her." Not the other way around.

This is conquest by compliance. Even Pakistan is laughing at us...

Military and NYPD now enforce Sharia privilege while punishing Christian faith.

A system that:

• Executes apostates and blasphemers
• Declares women and non-Muslims inferior
• Claims supremacy over the Constitution

is being institutionalized in our uniforms.

This is the Pakistanification/Islamization of American power.

To our political leaders...Sharia isn’t "coming." It’s already here, in the badge, the barracks, and the ranks.

The war within has been raging...at what point will Washington address this takeover?

I’ll never forget when my eyes were truly opened to the fact that there is never going to be a time where Islamic terrorists can be negotiated or reasoned with.

It was my first combat deployment… I had been in Afghanistan maybe a month.

We were sitting in a compound in Basawel and some ANA SF guys came through after we cleared a small TIC, and it turned out that one of the guys had a distant cousin that was Taliban and in the area.

I, in true rookie fashion, asked why he didn’t just call him up and try to figure it all out. I mean… they were family and all, right?

One of our terps relayed my question with a quiet chuckle…

And the ANA SF guy just looked at me like I was the dumbest person alive and after a moment he spoke. Though he was speaking Pashto that I didn’t understand… I understood just by his tone.

That same terp leaned in then and translated.

He said, “He is a terrorist. There is no talking with terrorists, even if they are blood. We must kill them all.”

And that’s when I realized how different their lives were from ours.

No more mail-ins coming after election day — a BIG ruling could come soon that NULLIFIES over a dozen states' laws. Do the right thing!

I love my country. Therefore, I am going to save the one person in the room who loves the country and does not want to turn it into something different and worse. I will save the one who will vote for likeminded people in the future. As for those 4 horrible people, I won’t impede them, but I won’t hazard the one who will continue to try to keep the country as founded.
