@RightScopee My question is how much does he have in cash assets? He shows as a trillionaire due to stock ownership. If he suddenly sold off all of it to make it all cash, he would only realize a fraction as the stock prices would plummet.
5-in blade. This is what he used. It is designed to flip open fast and then locks in place. I carry a Kershaw that is similar though only have 3.5" blade. Though my knife is a much more costly than the this $13 dollar Walmart knife. I use mine as a tool, but always keep in my mind it is, legally a weapon. Plunged into a chest, it will penetrate deep in the chest cavity, puncturing lungs, organs etc. Remember, he didn't slash his victim, he plunged it. Like you would a bayonet. I will say this, I don't believe Karmelo bought the knife with the intent to use as a weapon. But he did choose to carry it, he did choose to bring it to a school event, where such items are prohibited. He knew he had it on him and it buoyed his confidence that others would back down, as others most likely obeyed the rules. But none of that applied to him. Up to the knife being used, it was people being stupid. He shouldn't have been in the opposing teams tent, he should have just left when told to go. Instead he became hostile, belligerent, and dared those to make him. He was shoved, not punched, pushed backward to make him leave. His victim should not have done that, it was a bad decision, but not an illegal one. He chose to pull his knife out and attack. He chose to escalate and it went poorly for his victim and now he is paying the price. Two lives destroyed, plus those of each family. Terrible.
Unfortunately, Yes he does. He made a terrible mistake, not just one mistake but a series of them, that resulted in the death of another. The jury decided it was murder, not manslaughter. They were more merciful than I would have expected. 35 years, so with good behavior etc, he could be out in 17 years. The age his victim died. Seems rather fitting. He will have years to reflect on what he did, years to reflect the cost of it on himself, his family and his victim's family. I do hope he uses the time in prison to better himself, to become a better person, but that is his choice.
He killed a young man. If he had swung a punch in anger and that somehow killed the man, then I might say a mistake. Instead he pulled a knife, he stabbed the young man. A young man who witnesses stated said he wasn't going to fight him. That is murder, not self defense, not manslaughter. He has to pay a price, not that it will "fix" him, but to let the rest of society know that this is not acceptable and there are costs to those who follow that path.
@ProudElephant He lives in such a protected bubble that he wouldn't even come into contact with anyone who isn't part of his circle of associates and I am sure none of them were Trump voters.
I walk with a limp, on a bad day I use my cane. I have a knee that choses on its own when to let me fall. I have lower back pain that has required surgery. I also cannot walk a distance without having to stop and recover. Most of the time, the slight limp is all you would see. What you don't see is the tears from the pain that form up. What you don't see is how many times I have waited to do shopping when I know others won't be around so I can shop without people being around me. I feel embarrassed sometimes using my disabled permit. My friends, family and even doctor insisted I do need it. For years I just sucked up the pain and made excuses not to go out.
If you did not notice, there is a fine $250 on that sign, plus the cost of impound itself and the time to resolve the situation. All because you did not feel you could walk a bit further to a properly designated space. That fee is to make it worth enforcing. Now if you had forgotten to place your placard, I would feel some sympathy. I have forgotten my own placard on a few occasions and had to park further away, a couple times even just cancelled my trip due to it. My primary car has the plate fortunately. Some stores do have short term parking, you could request Target to do that. But how would they enforce it?
@travelingflying San Diego. Me and my best friend at the time had seen the previews prior and were so excited. We stood in line for hours. It was very memorable. I was only 10 at the time.
@AmazonHelp And now another order did not show. Part says Was expected Friday. Other part says Still arriving today at 11pm at night. I call BS. Please @Amazon, send my packages UPS or USPS, anyone but your own lousy delivery service! It is crap!
@amazon Amazon's delivery has been lousy in the last year. Late orders, all showing out on truck for delivery than at the end of day, quietly showing the next day as delivery instead. Today they claimed weather delays, while it is clear outside. Rain and storms were early this morning. So really what they mean is they overpacked the delivery truck and never caught up with their schedule. I was using combine shipping and to try to save delivery for Amazon, but screw that going forward. The sad thing is a couple times this last year, they delayed a shipment then "lost" it. Lousy customer service.
@jennyhwy Haven't like his latest movies as they have just sucked. I think the last role I liked was his appearance in Expendables 3. He has aged and it shows. He isn't an action movie star anymore. That is ok, we are allowed to age. As for not liking Trump, who cares?
You are in your 80s. I would have hoped you can enjoy some level or quiet retirement, doing that what you feel like. If you feel like touring, then good for you. I know sometimes life forces all of us to do things we would rather not. I hope you can relax and recover at your own pace. Enjoy your days, you have earned them.
@wakeupusa Christians are "People of the Book" (Ahl al-Kitab) and are granted protected status. This is per Mohammed. So your stating that they do not worship the same God is blasphemy as you are going against Mohammed himself, and thus Allah. You need to read your Quran obviously.
Article III, Section 3, Clause 1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. Trump is the elected president of the United States. So voting for him was not levying War against the US. Nor did any voter give Aid and Comfort to an enemy, as Trump is the duly elected leader of this country. This law was written by our founders so that it would not be used against dissent. You know, what you are doing.
@Kristinartz Leave her alone. At 66 she has been around long enough to make her own decisions. Act young, feel young. Why not? It is none of your business.
It isn't about one specific delivery being late, it is the constant occurrences. The frequency of being late and then sometimes just rescheduling without any explanation is infuriating. Lets say it happens only 10% of the time. That is 1 out 10 orders arriving late and require planning differently around it. The waiting up and not going someplace because I was supposed to get an order. It is at the point where I have to plan on Amazon being late. I cannot order for deliveries anymore if I know I will being leaving within a day of the expected delivery. I have been a Prime member for a very long time now, I even added the Amazon credit card. But Amazon is pissing off a loyal customer and that isn't a good business practice.
