Sometimes, we just have to walk through stuff even when we desperately just want to quickly get over it.
But the going through is what will get us on the other side with a greater understanding that God has always and will always be with us.
Make Tier 1 learning what it needs to be first by:
-believing ALL kids can & went to learn.
-holding high expectations for ALL learners.
-nurturing positive relationships with ALL learners.
By not starting here, the rest of the journey is going to be a lot harder for everyone.
According to the information released by the TDOE, the third-grade students of Bradley County Schools performed in the top 20% of the state in English Language Arts.
These final few weeks with my dad have been precious beyond words. At the end of every visit, he asked me to pray for him. Which of course I did. On my knees beside the big leather chair he was confined to for the past several months.
But as I was leaving his house this past Saturday night, he asked if he could pray for me. As if he knew.
Then, as was his habit, he said, “I couldn’t be prouder of you Andy.”
The source of a word determines its weight. Those were wonderfully weighty words. And his final words to me.
I’ll miss him every day until I see him again.
Teachers, whether you plant the seeds or water them, you are impacting the lives of your students. Many of your students will think back on you years later, maybe even after you are gone and smile and remember you made a difference! Never forget your impact!
