@TyOutdoor@BioInSchools @HerInSchools Our Outdoor Space was co-designed by a teacher and a parent of one of our pupils. The landscaping was done by a fantastic local landscaper Damien McCarthy Landscapes from Emo Co. Laois. We fundraised for the outdoor space.

Stone age cooking!
3rd class made flour using stone age methods. They independently followed a recipe and made dough in groups. They then wrapped the dough around sticks and cooked the bread over the fire 🔥 full bellies and happy faces all around.

Stone age farming techniques combined with maths!
3rd class are sowing wheat seeds 7cm apart and 1cm deep. Independent teamwork got the job done.
History, geography, science, maths, teamwork and responsibility all in one lesson.

All 600 pupils took to the streets of Portarlington to clean our local area. There wasn't a piece of rubbish left in the town after our boys! Well done everyone and let's keep our town clean.

Dandelion Maths!
3rd class took advantage of the dandelions in the school garden for their lessons on Lines and Angles and challenged their fine motor skills in the process too!

How lucky are we to have the current and x4 Irish Dancing World Champion, Sean Burbage on our staff. For Seachtain na Gaeilge, Mr. Burbage wowed the boys with a spectacular dance lesson and performance ☘️🇮🇪 #seachtainnagaeilge
Last week, Barcelona based artist, Anaisa Franco, arrived in Ireland to begin installation of the Trinity Loop in Scoil Phádraig.
Anaisa has been working on this interactive art piece for over 2 years.
We look forward to the completion of the Trinity Loop this week in the garden
2,500 native Hawthorn planted around the perimeter of our school this week. This will provide shelter in years to come and also help the biodiversity in our school.
Well done to the garden committee and all of 5th and 6th class who worked together to get this done 🌳🌳🌳
End of term Reflection Fire!
3rd class enjoyed a fire and hot chocolate this morning as they reflected on the term. They shared their biggest achievements and funniest moments. A wholesome morning all round!
