@NinEverything Might want to revise that headline, it's misleading.
The DLC is still a separate purchase. But the upgrade pack applies to it too.
Headline suggests the DLC is included on the cart, it is not.
@Nickakyoin@nintendolife The reason is most likely that the Switch 2 Editions don't include the DLC. But in the case of Torna, it was also released as a standalone game.
So if people had Torna as a DLC for 2, they'd get the upgrade with the S2E, but physical owners get left behind. Hence the patch.
@AussieGamr My problem with the trailer is that we didn't actually see anything. It's not fair to evaluate the look of the game based on a single shot. You can't even see Link's face.
Even if this was in the Direct just to be a teaser, they could've provided like 10 seconds of gameplay.
@Cboogiendsall I read a tweet earlier today that said Nintendo fans expecting a Mario game is like somebody expecting cheese on their cheeseburger and that pretty much sums it up.
It is not unreasonable to expect cheese on your cheeseburger.
I hate that I'll never have this game beaten 100% just because the DLC is unenjoyable garbo.
I love DK Island but the DLC as a whole made the game worse. Don't buy it man.
I dropped the DK Bananza Emerald Rush events because they're such a slog and I hate roguelikes.
I tried picking it up again to nab the Mario and Luigi costumes and they're not even unlockable. You just wear them by default while the event runs.
@PinClock GKCs are saving me money because now instead of rushing to get the physical games at full price before they go out of print I just wishlist them on the eShop and wait for a 50% sale.
If I'm being forced to go digital either way, I'd rather have purchases tied to my account.
Switch 2 is absolutely stacked when it comes to third parties but for some reason they just can't get it up when it comes to first party. Monolith is carrying right now.
I'm starting to actually become concerned.
