Today I got my first covid vaccine shot! Thrilled because this feels like the first step (of many) towards being an in person PE teacher again! Sending so much gratitude to the workers at Natomas High who were efficient, helpful, and friendly. Thank you for the work you’re doing!
What a fun way to end the year. We had not yet tried a whole staff Google Meet! 100 of my favorite #WestlakeCharter educators, all in one Meet: celebrating and reminding ourselves that we are truly #BetterTogether. So much #Gratitude for each of the people on this screen!
@Cherryjune5 Thank you, Bhargo! I will miss having you in class, but come say hi any time! And when we get electives back, I always love having middle schoolers come TA in my class!
I have a soft spot for this crew. They are the first class I taught at Westlake that I got to see promote. I will miss seeing them on campus. They are truly a special group and I can't wait to see the amazing things they will accomplish! Congratulations, Explorers!!
I have been grateful to be a Westlake Teacher countless times, but never more proud than today! Explorers I can't wait for our Distance Learning model to be shared! In the mean time, remember: CDC recommends 60 minutes of activity a day for kids! #LetsExplore#WCSbettertogether
I predict big #physed news in 2020. We are working on plans with @SpartanRace to help fund #physed teacher professional development (maybe equipment too), provide free K-12 appropriate racing curriculum, & help advocate for physical education and physical literacy! @SHAPE_America
Congratulations @supportREALtchr for racing in order to raise awareness for #EDS while also continuing to advocate for quality PE. You’re an inspiration and I’m proud to call you my friend! 👏🏼
#UDL in action in 4th Grade 👉🏼 I was apprehensive about using playlists but it has worked so well! It allowed my students to choose their challenge and get in skill practice before bump testing with very little guidance needed from me. Playlists get 👍🏼👍🏼! #ExplorerPride
Oh my goodness where has the year gone?? We’ve been having so much fun I haven’t even thought to tweet the cool stuff we’ve been doing! Here’s some underhand throwing stations second grade rocked from a few weeks back. #BetterTogether#WCSJoyfulLearning
Every year fifth grade leads field day and yesterday, this crew really raised the bar. I’ve taught them for 4 years and now they go on to middle school. I’m gonna miss teaching these goof balls so much. But for now, I’ll drown my sorrows in some summer fun! #schoolsoutforsummer😎
