Vani Subramanian is known for films such as Meals Ready (1996), New, Improved Delhi (2002) and Ayodhya Gatha (2006), her work explores the connections between our everyday practices and larger political questions.
A feminist activist and documentary filmmaker, Vani Subramanian started her career in advertising in Delhi. Known for films such as Meals Ready Using popular and documentary films as an indicator of social history and culture, Subramanian explores the changing character of India.
Sumegha Gulati was a Journalist who worked for various publications. She was an alumna of Department of Journalism, DCAC.
She was diagnosed with lymphoma, a type of uncommon blood cancer. She fought three relapses and defeated two. We mortally lost her on July 29th, 2016.
One Journalist, one Former Debater and one Undergraduate Debater each will constitute the two debating teams. We hope that this debate moves a conversation around the beauty and power of an unrestricted dialogue aiming at engagement, more than anything else.
