Apologies to Seth Meyers, but I'm gonna check out for a bit. I can't do 4 more years of this. I'm not gonna hide my head in the sand (which I considered) but I can't do anymore "this is bad, let's all laugh at him." The last bit of funny has been wrung out of this sponge.
A REAL PAIN wasn't the comedic romp the trailer made it out to be. I was expecting something more in line with SIDEWAYS. That's not to say I didn't like it. Just took me a minute to settle in with its tone. ⭐⭐⭐
Where do we stand on Ryan Adams? Has he been completely cancelled or is there some wiggle room? He was kinda creepy and a shitty husband for sure, but there wasn't anything illegal. Guess I'm just trying to not feel guilty about dusting off his albums to give 'em a listen.
Juror # 2 was a good ol fashion pot boiler. It didn't reinvent the wheel, but I enjoyed it and it deserves better than being dumped on to a streamer. ⭐⭐⭐
It'll be a bit of a drive, but I'm going to see Juror #2 today. His late career output has been sketchy at best, but the reviews for this one have been great and this will most likely be the last we see from Eastwood.
I'm having an existential quandary. If you can elect a racist, rapist, dishonest piece of shit like Donald Trump to the highest office in the world not once but twice, where is the motivation to be a good human? Why not do and say whatever you want whenever you want.
If the default setting is to fire off the F word in retaliation then it's not the first time you've called someone a f*g. Anyone that knows the etymology of that word knows how hurtful it is. I shouldn't be surprised that it didn't Garner more than a shoulder shrug.
Not that it matters anymore as decency is off the table, but I have a few thoughts on Jason Kelce. I have no beef with him smashing that guys phone. Hell, I'd be okay if he would've smashed his head. But he sure didn't wait to counter with his own slur.
