@NYCdrops@FF7FanComic@SeanDaBlack Over 80 million people stayed home last election. What is the message to them? I do not hear one here. That is why Democrats keep losing ground and drifting toward fascism. You don’t have a message and you will not build a governing majority like this. Do better.
@NYCdrops@FF7FanComic@SeanDaBlack I voted for Hillary, Biden, and Harris because I understood the threat Trump posed. That does not make me unreliable. It means I show up even when I disagree.
@NYCdrops@FF7FanComic@SeanDaBlack People on the left are not okay with this, and that is a good thing. We believe in drawing real lines in the sand to get the best candidates. We will keep pushing. I hope liberals eventually decide what they want and where their lines are too.
@NYCdrops@FF7FanComic@SeanDaBlack I’ll wrap this up since my basic question still isn’t being addressed. In my view, Biden opposing M4A, like Harris refusing to change course on Gaza, comes down to corporate power and big-money influence.
@NYCdrops@FF7FanComic@SeanDaBlack This exchange has been enlightening, but it also shows why liberals keep losing their base and elections. There is no clear vision here, just defense of an existing system that keeps failing people.
@NYCdrops@FF7FanComic@SeanDaBlack People on the left are clear about what we expect from a presidential candidate. They cannot take money from AIPAC or other big-money interests. They need a real vision, not a promise to maintain the status quo or be Republican lite.
@NYCdrops@FF7FanComic@SeanDaBlack I’m not trying to litigate M4A. My question is simple: if it passed a democratic and republican congress, why would Biden state that he would veto it? Is that simply ideology? Or could Biden be influenced by corporate and big money interest?
@NYCdrops@FF7FanComic@SeanDaBlack Medicare is the most popular insurance plan in this country. It polls way higher than any private insurance. But that’s not the point: if it passed Congress, why would Biden say he would veto it?
@NYCdrops@FF7FanComic@SeanDaBlack Moderates & corporate America are blocking progressive policy. We elected Biden, who said he’d veto Medicare for All if it passed Congress. Is that “ideology”or could that stance be due to the insurance & pharma money he takes?
@NYCdrops@FF7FanComic@SeanDaBlack I voted for Harris and I was still critical of her seemingly pro genocide stance. I wasn’t critical because I wanted her to lose, it’s because I knew republican lite politics wouldn’t win against a fascist. I think most leftists who criticized Harris wanted her to win.
