Spent some time watching Iowa’s Bennett Stirtz training in Chicago for the upcoming NBA Draft Combine.
Clearly in great shape and shoots the cover off the ball.
The 6’4” point guard’s smarts, skills, instincts, and steadiness should appeal to NBA teams drafting in the teens.
MIAA champions NW Missouri State is led by a medley of KC area talent including Liberty High alum true freshman Bennett Stirtz.
His 20 points led the team, he played every single minute and was awarded the Player of the Game.
Plus a nice poster dunk on a few people.
Bennett Stirtz, a Second-Team All-MIAA pick, is the seventh Northwest player to earn MIAA Freshman of the Year status. Stirtz leads the MIAA in field goal percentage (58.9%) and in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.09).

Congrats to Bennett Stirtz on joining a very elite group of BlueJays by scoring 1,000 points!! This accomplishment could not have been possible without great teammates and doesn’t overshadow a really good team win tonight. Thanks to @_NickRiedel_ for the graphic.
