@Canucks_1970_@Sportsnet It's really bad. So unbecoming of the historic class and elegance of HNIC play-by-play announcers. This guy's screaming like it's a Stanley Cup Finals Game 7 OT.
@mshean @ScottWapnerCNBC @CNBC Super uncomfortable. Weiss can be unbearable for sure, but Wapner seems to take particular offense to him and then further ramps up the tension.
@DorothyBenson@RadioFreeTom That was far from the first panel that has gone sideways. She looks overwhelmed at times. She's a bit too focused on contributing to the discussion when she should be facilitating, redirecting or resetting it.
@DorothyBenson@RadioFreeTom I respect Abby Phillip. She's smart, thoughtful and articulate. An excellent commentator. But she struggles to control that panel. I don't think it's the correct role for her.
@wkellyo@espn@NHL ESPN has proven it cares little about the NHL. Gary Bettman should take note the next time rights get negotiated. Gary needs a partner who cares enough to grow the game.
@whatupkihd ESPN's commitment to the NHL is embarrassing. Game 7 of the finals: Here, enjoy our 7-minute pregame show with a two-minute commercial in the middle.
@awfulannouncing ESPN's NHL coverage is a complete embarrassment. No pregame, no postgame, an IKEA table for the panel, and a somnabulent Sean McDonough making the greatest game on earth sound boring.
@CovaTweets The odds of making the playoffs had become sufficiently low that the GM made the (correct, in my opinion) decision to convert parts of our roster into draft assets.
@BuddJacket@Miller12Brent@buckfoston On SY's first day in TB, he already had a franchise center and defenseman. In DET, he a second-line center, little in the cupboards, and a team that hadn't even hit bottom yet. No way to grade him until Wings win the Cup or don't.
@ESPNHky Put Cheli and Messier in the booth for all future Hockey Night games. This was the first ESPN game I've enjoyed since the network got hockey back.
