It’s fitting that a Cup Final between two teams whose Conn Smythe candidates entering the series were former Leafs has featured nothing but blown leads
This might be the worst possible move an expansion franchise trying to establish a fanbase in a sport with many queer fans could make to attract said fans
anotha one 🙂↕️
Olympic Gold medalist Britta Curl-Salemme has signed a three-year standard player agreement in the Expansion Roster Distribution Process.

I’m assuming she’s just not re-signing with the Sceptres, but if not, Watts over Shelton is wild work.
At least they didn’t go for Turnbull this time, Shelton was the fourth best pick
@Kyle_Cush My expectations for the Sceptres are low after last year, but I was curious how much of that was Ryan (I feel like knowing what we know about coaches as GMs, he’s gonna make Turnbull the highest paid player in San Jose 😂)
With the Stanley Cup Final an hour away, I looked at five stats which tell key stories and how the #SoundtheSiren and #ForgedInGold match up against each other for @DailyFaceoff

Hit the first home run* of my life tonight and went 3-for-5 with 2 RBIs and a nice overhead catch in my first softball game in 7 years. Not a bad individual start (we lost 29-10).

Who's taking home the Conn Smythe Trophy?
@scotmaxw and @HunterCrowther broke down the best options ahead of the Stanley Cup Final:
https://t.co/o0q6cGo98F
In total, both teams have lost 24 man games due to injury:
Carolina - 3
Nikishin - 2
Ehlers - 1
Vegas - 21
Lauzon - 10
Karlsson - 6
Stone - 5
Outside of a bottom-pair defenseman, and maybe a lingering injury or two, both teams enter the Final in remarkable health.
For all the talk about how the later rounds of the playoffs get worse due to injuries, the Cup Final will feature two teams with just one active injury - Jeremy Lauzon has missed the last 10 games.
With the #SoundTheSiren taking action tonight again, I broke down the Mikko Rantanen trades more than a year later, and how, despite losing Rantanen, the Canes have several impact pieces on their roster right now.

Ok I saw Palmer is off the roster as well. Point still stands on Saka, the two put up almost identical numbers despite Foden playing fewer minutes than Saka this season
I’m not gonna pretend like Foden’s been in great form and deserving of a spot, but if Saka and Palmer are treated like locks when they’ve been in similar or worse form, my eyebrows will be raised.
Then again, there’s also probably just better options than all three of them.
