@FPLCesar@fpl_tactician I'm being cynical but looking back at the 2nd half vs. Croatia, I don't think it was even that good. Bellingham goal basically all him then your other good chances were from corners.
and? English squad should be more than good enough to handle those 2
@FPLCesar@fpl_tactician only game you could say you properly created in but even that was basically just from the 30th minute to half time, just for Congo to still have the best chance of that period too
@FPLCesar@fpl_tactician big players AND the team performing is different to the team playing poorly but being reliant on random moments of brilliance to scrape by
Technically can get you through as it's a tournament but it shouldn't be so needed especially against smaller teams
@FPLCesar@fpl_tactician Yea it should work better against bigger sides which probably starts at Brazil in the QF. Was more a matter of fit than quality vs smaller teams which made you worse, Anderson as good as he is hasn't worked.
Very lucky that Bellingham-Kane have stepped up like they have
@1882Rs@Spicbot@JJTW8_ I do agree but I think most people except for Mexicans who will just be biased, would admit that England are still favourites. It is just twitter refusing to be nuanced as always
England are favourites but due to context it'll be tougher and anything could happen imo
@1882Rs@Spicbot@JJTW8_ to be fair you haven't said that but most I see is "Mexico are shit, stadium is irrelevant so it won't be tough and we win 4-0"
When you've shown nothing so far to suggest that you're good enough to do that
@rob_fisher_efc@delf0s Spain drew 0-0 with Cape Verde(no best player) and completely turned it round
England drew 0-0 against Ghana and have not turned it round
@1882Rs@JJTW8_ and they're better than the 3 other teams England struggled against
Considering form, travel, altitude and home advantage, they're absolutely the toughest. Doesn't mean they win, but you'd think it would be very tough
@JJTW8_@1882Rs it's not like England are this great side that have proved that it won't be a problem?
toughest challenge yet and you've arguably only had 1 good performance so far then even that was only the 2nd half against Croatia
@imzispoms@Frodeezz we still have eyes to see they struggled for 5 of their first 6 halves of football lmao
Yesterday the first time they looked properly serious about creating, and even then Rice-Anderson were not good
