I’m a team player.
Not many things will make me go scorched earth.
Setting up @PeteHegseth as scapegoat is one of them.
And, yes, I know the blackmail.
You know who you are.
Mike Lee is right.
Stay in session. Cancel the vacation.
Confirm all 135 of President Trump's nominees before Schumer gets the gavel in January.
Every seat left empty is a gift to the Democrats.
Thune, this one's on you.
Mr. Vice-President,
Please allow me to present a different perspective.
The problem was not the Iran War. It was the cease fire.
If you start a war, you need to win it and finish it – otherwise don’t start it.
This war should have been over six months ago, with the Strait of Hormuz wide open and oil flowing. The second and third tiers of Iranian leadership should have been destroyed, and we should have supported the pro-western forces who could have taken leadership. We stood on the brink of a new, more peaceful Middle East - and then we blinked. We had a chance not only to deny Iran nuclear weapons, but to get rid of the world’s biggest supporter of terrorism.
Instead, we had a cease fire, which was followed by months of will we or won’t we finish the job. Every day was a different message. There still is. Is the war over? Is it about to begin? No one knows. There is confusion and inconsistency.
In June 2025, America was not involved. This was an Israel vs Iran issue.
No one forced the United States to attack Iran then, or in February of 2026. It was a decision made by President Trump. In my opinion, it was the right decision.
Once the decision was made, we should not have stopped until the regime fell. But instead, you negotiated a cease fire that didn’t last, didn’t work and left us in no man’s land, with higher prices and our troops still deployed.
Our troops could have been home, the Navy returned to its bases, a peaceful regime in place , new alliances forged, and gas prices below $3.00 a gallon.
No, Mr. Vice President. It’s not the war. It’s the so-called cease fire.
Mr. Vice President,
I agree with much of your post.
However, I’d like to add a few things I find incredibly frustrating, in no particular order.
- “Simple Things” that many Americans have wanted for a long time. Such as passing a saving-daylight bill.
- “DOGE cuts” a mere fraction of the 300+ billion in wasteful spending was codified. Taxpayer dollars hard at work.
- “Death by Senate” while there was some success in the Senate, it was short-lived. President Trump ran on more, and the Senate delivered a fraction.
- “Iran War” in the beginning we believed it would be short and worthwhile. But wait, going into the midterms with diesel 8$ a gallon didn’t help.
Moreover, I believe voters are frustrated and irritated because of a lack of GOP Senate leadership. Simple, common-sense bills that Americans have wanted for years, and Senate leadership couldn’t even do that. Not to mention so many others, such as school choice, election integrity, the SAVE Act, and more.
I believe that is why republicans lost.
Americans are tired of waiting for what they vote for!
🚨 JUST IN: President Trump at the White House just told EVERY Patriot “We WIN in a LANDSLIDE” if they pretend he’s on the ballot and they go vote
"I'm asking everybody, pretend I'm on the ballot. In a way, I AM... get out and VOTE”
THIS IS OUR FINAL PUSH 🇺🇸
🚨 NEW: A Kansas polling place RAN OUT of ballots this morning after the county delivered only 10 PERCENT of the ballots needed
By 8am, voters were being TURNED AWAY. It took over an HOUR AND A HALF for more ballots to be delivered.
How does this even happen?!
🚨 JUST NOW: BROWARD COUNTY is TOTALLY DOWN, NOT reporting ballots during the GOP's Election Day surge — people ARE still voting
No other county has this problem.
Broward is basically the ONLY COUNTY that does not use the same system as the 66 other counties are right now.
This needs to be mandated at the state level!
