Well, what to say about Durham County Council and @ReformDurham? They deserve to be in the news. They deserve national coverage, for everything they're delivering for residents in County #Durham. How's this?

🇬🇧 Scrapped stupid net zero schemes with no business case and found tens of millions in savings.

🇬🇧 Delivered lowest council increase with no use of reserves in the United Kingdom (just 1.99%)

🇬🇧 Investing £264m in the County with new schools providing 200 SEN places, more disability support and AI digital infrastructure to make things even more efficient.

🇬🇧 Scrapped the climate emergency and declared a social care emergency.

🇬🇧 Vowed to re-industrialise the county and to protect farmers.

🇬🇧 Brought in new rules to enable them to resist new HMOs and support communities

🇬🇧 Saved the county tens of millions by re-negotiating major waste contracts and by pulling out of the very expensive repair of Milburngate, which the Lib Dems had committed them to.

🇬🇧 Through scrutiny of the proposed TVERF (Energy Recovery Facility/Incinerator) project, secured the best deal for the people of County Durham (and wider North East), with savings of c73m vs initial tender submission
