@mattjcan@M_McCormackMP Your lot did nothing for 10 years. Oh yeah, then there was that dodgy deal… start with that at your next press conference ya grifter!
@vonderleyen@AlboMP Rules? Like backing a wanna be dictator in America? Turning a blind eye to genocide? Silencing its own people when they call out this hypocrisy? Fair trade? Like letting foreign owned companies make mega profits while its own citizens are struggling to make ends meet? Yeh. Cool!
@SenatorWong@kajakallas Shame you’re a patsy for America and Israel. You know, the two countries causing global instability! Hypocrisy of the highest order.
@AlboMP Too little too late. Your mandate was to increase the cost of living for Australians. You have made it so much worse. Pandering to America and Israel. Keeping AUKUS. Backing lobbyists instead of the people. You are LNP lite!
Australians are losing trust in government.
They know that the major parties make decisions in their own best interests rather than those of the people they represent. They want lobbying reform and for us to close the revolving door between government and industry.
My Clean Up Politics Act would do that; it's sitting before Parliament now. We could pass the legislation this week. The only thing standing between greater transparency in government, and Australians, is the major political parties.

If the Albanese government had introduced a 25% gas export tax when it was first elected, it would have raised more than $63 billion!
Free childcare or free uni shouldn't be a pipe dream. If big gas paid their fair share, Australians would be better off.
@GrogsGamut#auspol
Looks like the government might finally be caving to the pressure myself, others on the crossbench & especially Australians in communities across the country have been putting on them to tax gas companies making wartime profits.
Australians are already paying more on petrol & we shouldn’t be paying more on beer excise than the government gets for Petroleum Resources Rent Tax (PRRT).
It’s encouraging to see Treasury modelling changes to the way gas is taxed.
We should have a flat 25% tax on all gas exports & enough gas exports diverted into an east coast gas reservation & we need both now.

I asked the Treasurer for this in Question Time last week.
Woodside and Santos are set to make massive profits from our oil and gas internationally, while Australians are struggling to afford petrol, gas, diesel, and electricity.
We have to immediately change our tax settings to support Australians and get a fair return on our finite national resources.

What will it take for the major parties to put Australians ahead of vested interests from gambling giants to multinational gas companies to big tech?
If AI data centres are putting strain on our construction workforce, energy and water supply, the least we can do is get some kind of return for Australians.
Reasonable tax settings won't stop investment or prevent Australia being an attractive destination - that's just industry talking points trying to spook govt.

@AlboMP Well that is a blatant lie! You had the strongest mandate in recent memory. You squandered it by pandering to lobbyists. The US, Israel. After the LNP, Aussies wanted change for the better! Transparency. Honesty.
You have failed at everything we voted for!
@AlboMP I don’t know, maybe move Australia’s oil reserves to Australia? Stop pandering to a Rapist/Racist. Maybe ditch AUKUS. Maybe have a bloody backbone!
I hear The Beetrooter suggested on the ABC this morning that we should send a frigate to the Persian Gulf. To do what, exactly ? There is no conceivable role or task for it.
Joyce is just plain thick: a small-town, pretentious, bombastic, truculent, bloviating fuckwit.
FOI costs have more than doubled over the last decade & are now nearly $100mil per year.
Over the same period, full access to documents has effectively halved.
Labor promised a more open govt, but we’re going backwards.
Govt should drop proposals that make access harder and focus on building a more open system.

Independent Senator David Pocock has added his voice to calls for a 25% tax on gas exports.
Polling from RedBridge shows reveals that One Nation and Greens voters strongly support the idea.

“We’re in this ridiculous situation where as one of the biggest gas exporters in the world, we have the Petroleum Resources Rent Tax collecting less revenue than beer tax,” Senator David Pocock said.
“This needs to change."

@AlboMP So far, your AUS Govt has given $2.4b AUD ($1.6b USD) to the USA as part of #AUKUS. You're committed to giving them $4.6b AUD ($3b USD). That could be better spent on Australians. How many submarines are we guaranteed to receive? Zero! #auspol#VassalState#CostOfLivingCrisis
Anyone who is paying attention to the reality of AUKUS (not Labor and Richard Marles) knows we’ll never get any subs and the US will just squeeze as much money out of us as they can before officially admitting this. It’s time to find some backbone and get out of AUKUS!
How in the goddamned fuck do we live in a world where the United States is about to go to war with NATO over Greenland yet our Australian govt still intends to pay the US almost 400 BILLION dollars of OUR MONEY to protect an alliance which instead now shames us all?
