🏆 Resident Evil Requiem returns to #1 in the UK sales chart.

Resident Evil Requiem has climbed back to the top of the UK sales chart for the week ending August 8, jumping from #6 last week to #1.

Capcom’s new Resident Evil game sold better than Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Pokémon Pokopia, and 007 First Light. New releases Beast of Reincarnation and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls came in at #5 and #6.

🧐What makes the jump more notable is that there doesn’t appear to be a major discount behind it. Requiem is currently available from some retailers for around £10 below its recommended price, but nothing significant enough to clearly explain the sudden rise in sales.

The platform split shows PC continuing to lead Resident Evil Requiem sales in the UK with 57%, followed by PS5 at 32%, Xbox at 6%, and Nintendo Switch 2 at 5%.

👑This is another good result in what’s already been a strong year for Resident Evil Requiem. Months after release, the game is still doing well and keeps coming back to the top of the UK sales chart.

The Game of the Year race is only beginning. While other contenders are just starting their journey, Resident Evil Requiem already has months of strong results behind it and continues to make its case as one of the standout games of 2026.

📅The Game Awards 2026 ceremony will officially take place on December 10. It will be interesting to see how the race plays out and where Resident Evil Requiem ends up.
