Had to ask Grok about this..
Yes, the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified. It was proposed by Congress on July 12, 1909, and officially ratified on February 3, 1913, after receiving approval from the required three-fourths of the states (36 out of 48 at the time). The amendment grants Congress the power to impose an income tax without apportioning it among the states based on population, overturning the Supreme Court's 1895 decision in *Pollock v. Farmers' Loan & Trust Co.*, which had limited federal taxing authority.
Some fringe groups and tax protesters have claimed the amendment was not properly ratified, citing alleged procedural irregularities or discrepancies in state ratification documents. These claims have been thoroughly investigated and debunked by courts, historians, and legal scholars. For example, minor variations in wording or punctuation in state ratification resolutions were deemed immaterial, as they did not alter the amendment's substance. Federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, have consistently upheld the 16th Amendment's validity in cases like *Brushaber v. Union Pacific Railroad Co.* (1916).
If you want specific details about the ratification process or the legal arguments involved, I can dig deeper into primary sources or analyze relevant documents. Let me know!

Fast Food is a part of American culture. But that doesn’t mean it has to be unhealthy, and that we can’t make better choices. Did you know that McDonald’s used to use beef tallow to make their fries from 1940 until phasing it out in favor of seed oils in 1990? This switch was made because saturated animal fats were thought to be unhealthy, but we have since discovered that seed oils are one of the driving causes of the obesity epidemic. Interestingly enough, this began to drastically rise around the same time fast food restaurants switched from beef tallow to seed oils in their fryers.
People who enjoy a burger with fries on a night out aren’t to blame, and Americans should have every right to eat out at a restaurant without being unknowingly poisoned by heavily subsidized seed oils. It’s time to Make Frying Oil Tallow Again 🇺🇸🍔
This is one of the most consequential speeches I have heard in many many years. @RobertKennedyJr is entirely correct. He can make an enormous difference in our nation’s collective healthy.
