Never Again ! Remembering the capture of Baga and Bama.
On January 3 2015, Boko Haram fighters attacked and overran the Multinational Joint Task Force base in Baga, forcing soldiers and thousands of residents to flee. The terrorists seized control of the town, killing civilians in what became known as the Baga massacre.
In February 2015, the Nigerian Army launched an offensive and recaptured the strategic border town after a fierce battle and declared "never again" would insurgents seize Nigerian territory or inflict such large scale destruction.
One month later in March 2015 the Nigerian army launched an offensive to liberate Bama in one of the most significant battles of 2015.
The Nigerian military spent five days pounding Boko Haram weapon installations and fortified hideouts using heavy artillery and fighter jets.
After a week of aerial and artillery bombardment troops from the 7 Division launched their assaulton March 5, 2015.
Boko Haram, in anticipation of the invasion had heavily mined the town and used remaining civilians as human shields. Soldiers had to clear these traps slowly to minimize casualties.
By mid March 2015, the military had completely routed Boko Haram from Bama and begun securing the wider local government area. It marked the last time Boko Haram would successfully hold territory on Nigerian soil.
Hiba Abouk reportedly says she'll never trust a man again after her split from Achraf Hakimi.
Hiba Abouk 🗣️: "When I married Achraf in 2020, I was deeply in love and truly believed we were building a future together. But just a couple of months after our wedding, I started noticing a change in him. He seemed suspicious, almost as if he thought I was being unfaithful.
I hoped it was just a phase, so I tried to make things work. But as our relationship continued to fall apart, I realized divorce was the only option.
The day I filed for divorce, he didn't seem bothered at all. Later, I found out why—he had reportedly placed all of his assets in his mother's name, leaving nothing in his own name. I was completely shocked by what I saw as manipulation. I never imagined he had been making those decisions behind my back. I always believed that partners should be completely honest and transparent with each other."
