A meta-analysis of 1.5+ million participants found opposing suicide risk effects between coffee and energy drinks. High coffee consumption (60+ cups monthly) significantly reduced suicide attempts, likely due to mood-enhancing properties. Conversely, even one energy drink monthly increased suicidal thoughts and attempts, with risk tripling at higher doses.
