Spending around 30 minutes in Apple’s Vision Pro 2, two things are apparent to me:
1.This version of mixed reality technology is certainly the future of computing and will replace laptops, iPads, desktops, and even your iPhone one day.
2.We are close but not there yet.
The reason I say we are not there yet is that, after my brief experience with it, I noticed a few quirks that many people have observed:
•The field of view is noticeably lower than reality (obvious but still something that needs improvement, as Meta’s lower-resolution headset has a higher FOV).
•The advertised strap is not very good for weight distribution (I didn’t have a chance to try the other one on).
•The weight is not as bad as I had expected but still heavy enough to cause fatigue.
The things that absolutely blew my mind were:
•The special video legitimately made me feel like I was at the birthday party with those people. It felt like a Black Mirror episode.
•The 3D movies were extremely good, and the screen felt clearer than I had expected, far better than any screen I’ve ever seen.
There was much more I loved and more quirks as well, but these are the main things that stood out to me.
If they can slightly lower the weight, improve the FOV slightly, and bring down the price, I am confident this will sell tens of millions a year.
The 2024 iPhone will be the start of the move towards VR and AR and AWAY from the iPhone, let me explain:
$AAPL is projected to add a capture button to their iPhones in 2024. This capture button automatically records video and is positioned so you have to hold your phone horizontal.
The reason this is important is because in order to capture special videos on your iPhone you have to film horizontally. This is one of if not the first feature I can think of that is not necessarily a huge plus for the iPhone user but actually to promote another product of theirs.
Special videos/photos will be a huge focus over the next few years as it will allow users to view their memories in a new medium that feels like you are actually re watching a memory in 3d.
Apple will keep pushing iPhone users towards the new VR platform and eventually I believe AR and VR will be the main portion of their business.
Now it may not be groundbreaking that someone thinks Apple will be VR and AR focused eventually but I believe this happens far sooner than people imagine.
I believe Apple’s AR and VR platforms will surpass the iPhone sales by 2030. Sure that may be ambitious and who knows maybe they pivot the IPhone to be a companion to AR VR and it becomes more useful, but I think people are underestimating how fast Apple can turn this 3T dollar boat in a different direction.

Inflation is a complicated subject, and it’s even more complicated when you think CPI is the number you should be looking at.
In this 🧵 I am going to outline how I am betting on REAL inflation being one of the biggest drivers of the markets over the next decade
It had always been a dream of mine to get in the water that Jesus was baptised in by my hero John the Baptist. The story is so amazing, & it seems wherever Jesus went, that new birth, new life, a new vision followed. Luke (in the bible) was probably a Syrian doctor before he met Jesus. He writes a reliable, poignant account of his life. It’s short. I like it. #adventure #life #nevergiveup

Dutch $BROS has really caught my eye recently and let me tell you the 3 reasons why I like this company. (especially as it continues to fall to new 52-week lows)
What happens if the government breaks up any (or multiple) of the big tech companies? Do they separate and grow bigger than they were combined like AT&T or big oil companies… or do they lose the advantages of their network effects and go sideways?
