@Rengle820 Strongly agree. Two of the most important things smart hiring managers will look for, especially in early career candidates, are 1) have you demonstrated mastery of something relevant to the job and 2) can you learn new things and apply them quickly in a professional environment.

@Planarwalk @JohnnyD_cm It will be different for languages that use a VM, like C# or Java, than for languages that compile directly to native binaries. Compiling to bytecode to be run on a VM is a simpler process (and much easier to replicate by hand if that's what you're interested in).
