If you have a house fire there’s a good chance some shitty people are going to show up to try to profit. They will either sell you the repair and may not be the best choice or will try to pit you against your insurance company to take a % cut.

I know there’s good companies out there that do this repair work so I thought, why don’t I build an app that listens to scanners using AI and alerts them. That way some small outfits that don’t employ people whose only job is to chase fire trucks would have a shot.

Obviously this is a for-profit venture for me so I got some opinions from people who’ve had fires (and had this happen to them) and moved forward. It was a lot of work to get going.

Got my first customer this week and was excited. Talked with him and learned he’s just another POS. Shut it down.

I dunno what i expected. 🤦‍♂️ I think I’ll move on to something different.

Most teams are using AI as a tool. We’re preparing for AI as a coworker.

Over the past week, we rebuilt our Notion from the ground up so it can serve as the central hub for everything @PartnersLattice. We kept it simple and organized: 5 databases run our entire business.

The real work was structuring how the data is organized and displayed. Everything is meticulously labeled, connected, and organized so that a new team member can understand what’s happening across the business at a glance.

But more importantly: we built it for agents.
We want Notion to function as a true knowledge hub where agents can reliably:
- answer questions
- find context
- execute tasks
- support delivery across projects

Because agentic workflows only work when the underlying data is clean, structured, and consistent. If your information is scattered, duplicated, and unlabeled, agents won’t be useful.

So we’ve been investing heavily in our internal data model because we believe the next era of business is agentic coworkers.
