@Mike_Andrew_XL @TimHannan The simple truth….

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

Me neither. Nightmare, shameful nightmare.

[Tom Nichols @RadioFreeTom]

I never thought I would see the leader of the American nation siding with the Kremlin in a war of aggression.

[Visegrád 24 @visegrad24]

Joint statement on Ukraine released today by the Nordic-Baltic 8 (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania):

"We stand fully and firmly behind Ukraine. Ukraine must be able to prevail against Russias war of aggression, to ensure a just and lasting peace. The outcome of the war will have fundamental and long-lasting effects on European and transatlantic security.

Our priority now is to strengthen Ukraine. Our countries are some of the largest per-capita contributors of military assistance to Ukraine. We will further bolster our support.

We are engaging with Ukraine, the United States and all our NATO Allies and EU partners on how to achieve peace through strength. We fully commit to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Ukraine should be given strong security guarantees. Ukraine and Europe must be involved in any negotiations to achieve just and lasting peace.

We are investing strongly in our own defence. We are determined to further strengthen our collective security and defence, and to shoulder our responsibility for peace and security in Europe"

damn, I did not realize the prosecutor who blew the whistle on the Adams deal and resigned from DOJ was a Fed Soc member and Scalia clerk.

[ian bremmer @ianbremmer]

i’ve never seen canadians—politically left, right and center—so angry with the united states as right now.

many americans don’t care or know why it matters. but long term the united states benefits greatly from deep and trusted international relationships. and none have been closer (and closely integrated) than us-canada.

@DemocraticWins Tariffs is the weapon of weak nations with closed economies to prop up own uncompetitive industries. It stifles competition and innovation, prevents resources from flowing to more productive sectors, results in lower growth, higher prices and less choice. Good luck

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

Agree with the sentiment. There was that slavery thing, and then that Jim Crow thing…..

[America’s Ghost @planterspunch7]

@RadioFreeTom If we’re being honest, this version of the Republican Party is worse than any version of the Democratic Party in the history of the Republic — in every possible way.

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

Thank you, Chief @pibutler, and all your colleagues and team members for your heroic service. Forever to be remembered and honored.

[Patrick Isidoro Butler @rbfdchiefbutler]

@BrianaCap Hi @BrianaCap , thank you for the kind words. As Fire Chief of Redondo Beach your post truly lifted our spirits. This is a video taken while @RedondoBeachFD Engine 61 in midst of fighting fire as 80mph winds tried to test their resolve, but could never break our spirits

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

This is absolutely wonderful! Deepest bow to our great first responders. Truly massive public servants. Shame, shame on all those who criticise and complain for cheap political gain. Glory to the heroes!

[Briana Cap @BrianaCap]

Literally crying in the Target parking lot right now. 🧵

I was struggling with unloading my toddler, my bags and wrangling an unruly cart (seriously — why do some lack power-steering?) A fire truck from Redondo Beach (E61) had just parked nearby and four firefighters got out.

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

@VivekGRamaswamy Isn’t this the most brilliant argument for intelligent DEI I ever heard heard?

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

@hubermanlab @RickRubin @VikingurMusic Amen to all that!

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

@ChrisMurphyCT Shouldn’t illegal immigrants, starting with recent ones, expect they will be sent home immediately? Can we not insist that asylum applications will be considered only if presented at a legal port of entry?

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

@ChrisMurphyCT Possibly all true, but their website’s description of immigration policy sounds very sensible. To combat/undermine Trump (and AfD?) appeal, we need a sound immigration policy based on the rule of law. Are you willing to stand up for one @ChrisMurphyCT?

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

@RadioFreeTom Absolutely right, @RadioFreeTom. Please hold that line.

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

@GovofCO Roll on, @GovofCO. In these dark days, we need democratic (small d) leadership that focuses on great education, broadly defined, to raise the value-creation possibilities and hence the real wealth and abundance of every citizen.

[Governor Jared Polis @GovofCO]

The Let’s Get Ready initiative will ensure that we’re focused on student outcomes and student success, strengthening our economy and workforce. Let’s get ready by learning about what factors do and don’t drive better outcomes.

@ChrisMurphyCT Forget about attacking billionaires @ChrisMurphyCT. Economic populism is about raising incomes for the bottom 50–75% of the working population. It’s about education, training and skills, making everyone more successful, not attacking those who already are.

[Chris Murphy 🟧 @ChrisMurphyCT]

Spent last week licking wounds. Now it's time to get to work.

Some thoughts on the path forward. In short, we need to rebuild the left. No band aids.

Admit that our policies don't connect with people emotionally. Stop being so afraid of populist fights. Build a bigger tent.

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

@HewittJSB! All of a sudden you’re on Spotify! I admired your independence, and bought a lot of your recordings, but love to have you present on my favourite musical source. Blessings for the music!

[Scott Downs @scottdowns3]

Keep a'going @RadioFreeTom. Wasn't it Churchill who said democracy was the worst form of government ... except for any other?
