As shared previously, the Town is taking action to help manage goose activity at Prospect and Dominion Gardens parks and splash pads to help keep these spaces clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Beginning soon, you'll notice trained working dogs and visual deterrent services operating during the early morning hours (before 9 a.m.) to encourage geese to move along and reduce their presence in these high-use park areas. After an initial period of daily visits, these activities will continue intermittently as needed.

Residents can rest assured that these are humane deterrent methods designed to encourage geese to relocate without causing them harm. The trained dogs are carefully managed by professional handlers and are used solely to discourage geese from congregating in splash pad and park areas.

Thank you for your patience as we work to address this issue and improve the park experience for all visitors.
