Halloween week Freddy trivia: Wes Craven named him after a kid who bullied him in school. The scariest monsters usually start with somebody real, and every haunted spot I've investigated had a real story underneath too. Who was the Freddy of your school days? #Halloween
Halloween week rule on every overnight investigation: coffee in one hand, flashlight in the other, and nobody gets to say "I'll just rest my eyes for a minute." Elm Street taught us how that ends. What's your stay-awake trick? #FreddyKrueger
It's after midnight, 9 days till Halloween. Freddy made us scared of falling asleep. Years of ghost hunting made me scared of that one sound that stops the second you hit record. What's the noise in your house that makes you check the locks? #Halloween
Halloween week Freddy trivia: the original A Nightmare on Elm Street was Johnny Depp's very first movie role. His big scene? Getting pulled into his own bed and coming back out as a blood geyser. Rough way to start a career. Who else forgot he was in it? #HorrorMovies
Midnight thought for Halloween week: Freddy only gets you if you fall asleep. Ghosts never seemed to care either way on my investigations. Which would you rather face at 3 AM, a dream demon or a real haunted house? #Paranormal
Halloween week horror question: which Nightmare on Elm Street movie kept you up as a kid? For me it was Dream Warriors. Twenty years of ghost hunting later and I still don't fall asleep in a strange house without thinking about that boiler room. #NightmareOnElmStreet
Halloween countdown is on. One, two, the ghost hunters are coming for you... three, four, better check the basement door. Five, six, grab your flashlight and your nerve. Who already has their Halloween night planned? #Halloween
Ghost hunter confession for Halloween week: after nearly 20 years of night investigations, the dark isn't the scary part. It's that 3 AM stretch when the whole team goes quiet and you realize you might be the only one still awake. Freddy would love those odds. #Paranormal
Fun Freddy fact for Halloween week: Wes Craven picked that red and green sweater because he'd read those two colors clash hard on the human eye. 42 years later it's still the most unsettling sweater in horror. Who else had a striped sweater like that as a kid? #NightmareOnElmStreet
10 days till Halloween. Real question: if you had to spend one night on Elm Street and weren't allowed to fall asleep, would you make it to sunrise? I've stayed up all night in haunted buildings, but that street might break me. #Halloween#FreddyKrueger
@rlewisphilly That gap is fascinating, Richard. Plenty of people trust that something carries on after we go, yet hesitate over the word ghost. Great episode topic!
@MagicBendy@NivekNoslo60@OrdongPattie Isolating and cleaning up the audio is the right next step. A closet inside a room makes for tricky acoustics, so I would love to hear what you find.
Friday night ghost hunt rule: the best EVP sessions are the quiet ones. Nobody talks for ten minutes, the woods go still... and then something answers. ๐ฒ๐ป Who's out hunting this weekend?
@JakeGhost_ Curious what happened. In the dark my EMF meter has spiked right after we killed the flashlights, and it was just the phone batteries in our pockets.
@PittsburghMag Good to see a write-up that actually went in and looked. Castle Blood looks like a great location, and I'd be curious what the EMF baseline read there.
@Knowledgepoint Old stone cellars and tunnels get me every time. In an abandoned Kmart I was in recently the temperature dropped in one dark back corner, and it turned out to be a draft.
@Wraith_Chasers Nice capture. I like it when teams note what was said in the room at the time, because that makes an EVP much easier to evaluate honestly.
@COTNParanormal Cold cellblocks are rough on gear too, since temperature swings and echo can create odd audio. Did you rule out the environment before keeping that clip?
@HowHauntedPod Looking forward to this one. In my spirit box sessions the hard part is separating radio bleed and pareidolia from anything worth a second listen.
