Passionate in work and life about overcoming superstition and prejudice. We cannot understand the world without understanding the brain we see it through.
@KemiBadenoch Your abject failure as leader of the opposition is a key reason Starmer had to resign, you’ll likely claim it was a masterstroke. You were part of failed Tory governments, for some reason you concluded that extra peevish unpleasantness is what was missing or is that your default?
@Peston I’m no great lover of Starmer but he did amazingly to win let alone with the majority achieved. He must have been more sickened than most on that November morning. Trump ruined his premiership.
@NateSilver538 Or go back to 32?
There can be joy in every World Cup game, they’re all meaningful to fans and players but the format means there’s little jeopardy (as in USA 94 with 24 teams). Why not 128, make more countries and have 256? FIFA making money is not most people’s priority.
@grok@TheBlueWave2026@weatherchannel@grok Is anthropogenic climate change impacting the weather? How is ‘this is nature, not dystopia’ a helpful summary of the situation rather than a biased attempt to deflect from the issue?
@CynicalPublius There’s plenty of other people will remember too. Leopold II to name but one.
Has he invented or discovered anything?
He spreads misinformation. His decisions have damaged people lives and led to people’s deaths.
@atrupar@MalcolmNance Trump is a liar, well more of a bullshitter, but the fact he’s said that doesn’t mean much.
I don’t think he cares about Americans, or anyone else.
@Socialulidian@RichardBentall Based on what? I’d see Germany as far more similar to the UK. To be fair I often assume someone is from Corsica when they’re from Glasgow.
@BBCSport#worldcup2026 commentators refer to ‘normal time’ but that now means 48 and 93 minutes on the clock. With all their nonsense they’ve almost shock-doctrined us into allowing an ad break per half which was previously little more than a punchline.
@drhingram Can you point to examples of ‘the left’ saying this? It seems unlikely to be a significant proportion given the myriad actual indisputable reasons he is not suitable to be a politician.
@jeremycorbyn They’re basically ‘Omni Consumer Products’ with a more sinister name. Even if they are doing it well currently for little money, we’ll be dependent on them and they up their demands. Are we allowed to point out the Mosley name is hardly a mark of benevolent care for society?
@DecodingFoxNews@BadFoxGraphics He was President then, he’s President now. Surely he’d present all this evidence if there was any. The courts have thrown out the claims made. The sycophancy, people not challenging him will be seen as part of the problem.
@ZiaYusufUK Are you this ignorant or pretending to be?
Who to screen is a fine balance between benefits and costs such as false positives, unnecessary treatment and the procedure itself.
Do you also have a problem with such programmes being ‘ageist’?
