@whatismusicpod I saw them at one of the Stirling gigs. Either the 19th or 21st. It was a major disappointment. They never quite got the crowd going to the point where Stipe even asked the crowd what was wrong? It was a very flat atmosphere. :(

@whatismusicpod Took me an age to understand and appreciate, about 15 years or so. Why Not Smile was the song that eventually unlocked it. REM Up'd so that Radiohead could Kid A but I now wish they'd been braver and gone with more songs like Airportman and Falls to Climb than Daysleeper & AMMB.

It seemed everything was getting better last week. My brilliant husband was recovering from the cardiac arrest that very nearly killed him. He’d finally got home from hospital.

Then his heart stopped again.

We were in bed. I was the only one there.
