This is how we need to handle all immigration into the USA, legal and illegal:

1) End all forms of welfare for any immigrants, legal or otherwise. No financial aid, no medical benefits, no assistance of any type.

2) Enact a 10% federal income tax on all non-citizens living in our country. If they earn their citizenship through legal means, they would no longer be subject to that income tax. All excess funds over what is required to fund the limited government would go to paying off the federal debt. Once that debt is paid off, all surplus funds would be evenly distributed to all American Citizens at the end of each year.

3) Charge a minimum of $20,000.0 for a four year student visa, and $80,000.00 for a 4 year H1-B Visa. Taking spots in American schools and taking an American job is going to have a cost. Any company or school that is caught using H1-B or Student Visa's fraudulently will be fined $250,000.00 per incident. Use these funds to help defray the cost of public education (College / University, Apprenticeships, other Trade Schools, etc.).

4) Any non-citizen taking part in protests against America, burning an American flag, or committing a crime against an American will result in deportation, and a permanent ban from America. If they were here on any type of Visa, it will be revoked and the school or company sponsoring them will be fined $250,000.00 per incident. They will never be eligible for citizenship ever again.

5) Enact a law forbidding all non-citizens, all foreign governments, and all foreign companies from purchasing / owning any land or any other real estate within the United States or Territories of the United States.

6) Require all legal immigrants to live within the United States for 14 years before allowing them to become a citizen. During this time they must earn their citizenship and prove they truly intend to become an American. This would also eliminate most green card scammers, green card divorces, and other fraud. If they marry an American or serve in the Military, that requirement is reduced to 8 years.

7) Require all immigrants, legal or illegal, to learn fluent English. In order to obtain citizenship they must prove they can speak, write, and understand English with 100% proficiency.

8) All immigrants must permanently renounce everything contrary to the spirit of the Constitution in order to be granted citizenship. They must take an oath to be loyal to our Constitution, and the principles upon which our Republic was established, before being granted citizenship.
