10 days to go until I hit the streets of London for the 2025 Marathon!
I even get the pleasure of running for @Kinetic_Academy who are on a constant mission to create more opportunities for young people in the capital!

Thank you
How’s this for a day’s ‘work’ then… 👀🤩
Kinetic co-founder James Fotheringham and our Partnerships and Impact Lead Harry Scowen flew to Spain for a meeting with our partner Real Madrid Foundation at the club’s training complex and then headed to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to see Kylian Mbappé bag his hat trick for Real Madrid against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League 🔥

KINETIC FOUNDATION 🤝 ADIDAS
A brilliant day at adidas London HQ, with both teams coming together for the first time since our partnership announcement. We’re so excited for what’s to come in 2025 as @adidasUK support our mission to empower the next generation of talent on and off the pitch, continue to break down barriers and create opportunities for young people through the power of football 🙌
World Mental Health Day gave us some time for reflection...
There is profound emotional and social benefits of sports participation for children, especially those from low-income backgrounds. Children in these settings often face challenges, report lower life satisfaction and increased mental health issues compared to their peers.
Sport can significantly enhance mental and physical health, but barriers to participation remain a major hurdle for many children from low-income backgrounds.
At Kinetic, we recognise this need:
- 81% of our students come from underrepresented backgrounds
- 29% receiving Free School Meals
- 55% living in the 30% most deprived areas of the UK
Despite these challenges, our Kinetic students demonstrate a higher average rate of wellbeing compared to the national average. Our mission is to empower these young individuals to stay engaged in education through the transformative power of football.
We believe it’s crucial to support children from underrepresented backgrounds, as they often face barriers that can affect their wellbeing and motivation. As well as engaging students in football, we ensure access to personal development activities to empower and build social mobility ⚽💪
