@bseeley3 I think Protestants and Evangelicals (which I am) in particular struggle with this in a way Catholic and Orthodox believers do not. That is due to the emphasis of sacrifice as the primary motif of weekly worship. Christ was sacrificed, therefore we bring ourselves as a sacrifice.

Imagine if everybody had access to land, materials, and construction equipment and they could tell it what to do—That will not equal buildings that are scalable, maintainable, and secure.
