@tigerbalmaddict@hutchinson Do the mamdani, disavow, move on. I don't care about your splitting hairs nonsense, there's no point. just disavow and move on. no one cares. if I was hasan I would want AES to do exactly that. that aligns with what he pretends is his goal, to beat republicans. everybody wins.
@tigerbalmaddict@hutchinson I don't even get these brain broken positions - the POLITICIAN should be the one that should be SUPPORTED to beat the republican. why is hasan even part of any calculation? I don't get any of these threads treating like hasan needs to be protected at all costs, wtf for? he's fine
@tigerbalmaddict@hutchinson you realise mamdani just disavowed and moved on, so did everyone else?
this weird trying to avoid answering the issue keeps the whole thing alive. it's not a big deal to disavow hasan we can see with the mamdani example, you are wrong
@tigerbalmaddict@hutchinson do you think adopting all the behaviours of the right will work out for people of the left?
different populations look favourably to different behaviours, this isn't just a copy/paste and get the same outcome my dude.
wanna know the easiest fix? I disavow hasan, let's move on.
@mehdirhasan@shannonrwatts did destiny kill your child or something? there's plenty of examples of you being capable of more than grunting and screeching about moral superiority
@mehdirhasan I used to think a post like this would be beneath you... guess this is the level of discourse these days, dodge substance and screech about moral superiority and ad homs. cool. should complete the transition to the lane you're in and always appeal to genocide, flawless strategy
@mehdirhasan aren't you supposed to be a journalist? this is hasan level virtue signaling to avoid anything of substance ... surprised you haven't gone full send and mentioned genocide to really win that argument my dude
@Leivve@KyleKulinski@Schneider4IL10 just so we're clear, he 100% is a public figure and would be treated as such in court. he self proclaims to be a journalist, does 'political commentary' on twitch and is very well known, a private figure with his views would not be as newsworthy as he is. hence the disavowals.
@mehdirhasan@TheOmniLiberal what even is this? you would call out people behaving like you if it was in defense of trump ... why are you doing it here?
this is like the who won the 2020 election?
dude just say he says bad stuff and you disavow the bad stuff, you don't even have to attack hasan? wtf
@Leivve@KyleKulinski@Schneider4IL10 ok, here's an easy one - I will bet $1000 that hasan will not win a defamation case. just google the tests for defamation, especially for public figures. do you think hasan could be successfully sued for defamation with all of the absurd things he's said about other people?
@Leivve@KyleKulinski@Schneider4IL10 among other hurdles for public figures and defamation. if you actually are a hasan fan, pushing him to go the litigious route is INSANE and only really shows you have no clue on how defamation works in america and for some reason don't think the same could be applied to him?
@KyleKulinski@Schneider4IL10 you think he's going to sue anyone? do you even understand how defamation works in the US?
I've got this bridge, it's really big and cool. wanna buy it?
@MurphysL4wyer@hutchinson I think he's just pointing out that hasan is another attack vector against the democrats which will turn away center/moderate/swing voters.
hutch observing something doesn't mean he's eating something up, he's not causing it - just pointing it out.
@adammocklerr good response. I don't have a hard position on aipac -- are there examples of politicians having a position, aipac funding them and then their position changing? I'm not sweeping for aipac or saying to not hold israel accountable for terrible actions but an example would be good
