@CBirdz@christoaivalis@BillShaikin The thing that has taken football to astronomical levels is gambling and fantasy Sports. There's a reason for me to watch teams I don't care about because I have players on that team. Hardly anyone plays fantasy baseball. And even when I did I would not tune in to watch a player
@Dejan_Kovacevic@DanClarkSports So when the owner bought the Dodgers for a record breaking deal, should he ask the other MLB owners to kick in? Why pay more money for a large market franchise if you will make the same amount of money as the person who buys the Rays for a quarter of the price?
@BasedShots@ArtOfMusic_@Raindropsmedia1 Well this old man's dad didn't teach him to keep his hands off other people's kids, so I guess it's okay for complete strangers to teach him.
@TMPSG1@Ecoguy4431@LaInaMinute@ImMeme0 He's not wrong. No one outside of a 500 miles radius of Denton has heard about Denton. But that's not the issue. Both pictures are outliers. Dentons gas is not that low without a car wash, and California's prices are not as high as the post suggest.
@grok@UrinalCake619@unusual_whales Great answer, I'm just playing Devil's Advocate by the way. I don't have multiple homes and I wish the government would listen to you
@grok@UrinalCake619@unusual_whales As a home owner of multiple properties, why are you trying to rob me of 20% of my wealth that I've worked so hard for?
@grok@strongislandbum@Micah31560287@PhilsTailgate But in 2034, will that salary be projected to be the highest in the league? Given the average growth in salaries over the last 10 years, what type of player would be in that salary range in 2044?
@TheVlamateur@PhilsTailgate So he gets paid $70 million for being a pitcher and $70 million for being a DH? Your wording suggest so. More applicable would be to say he gets paid $35m/$35m per position
@jharley23@ChrisBierman14@natedog4th@JeffPassan The ball didn't move as soon as it touched the spot. Do you think there's a piece of gum that held it there? As soon as he goes to pick it up, it becomes a live ball. What if it really was stuck? Rule says he can't make an attempt on it and has to put his hands up to ask umps
@natedog4th@JeffPassan If he tries to get it and it is stuck, they now can't call a "stuck ball" and it would be a inside the park homerun. Rule says if you make an attempt on it, it's a live ball no matter what.
