Led Zeppelin performing "Going To California" Live at Earls Court, 1975.
People at this concert could not realize how lucky they were. Seeing one of the greatest bands ever that would only last a few more years.

Sad to learn Brian Glanville has died. Covering games into his 80s I once saw him shuffle into the Arsenal press area after a match. He could barely walk, had no notes nor a laptop, but watching the great man read his word perfect copy down the phone was utterly spellbinding. RIP
On this day 1970 The #Arsenal successfully protected their 3-0 lead from the first leg of European Fairs Cup semi-final as they lost 1-0 at the hands of European giants Ajax Amsterdam in the second leg. 3-1 victory on aggregate (or the headline) doesn't sound too bad, does it?
21 March 1936: Arsenal 1 Grimsby 0.
FA Cup semi final.
Bastin scored the goal in front of 63,210 fans at Huddersfield’s ground.
It was Bastin’s sixth goal in the cup this season, making him the top cup scorer

I cannot think of anyone in this world, more wonderful, more beloved, more remarkable, more full of life in all its variety and ability, than Dick Van Dyke on what is his 99th birthday, on the 13th December 2024.
