@JenKteach @dmrowsell @Headteacherchat Ah I see now! It isn't an agreed upon value but I think it's a reasonable starting point (balanced carefully with what staff need) as a question for an informed school leader to ask themselves or their team when making decisions.

@JenKteach @dmrowsell @Headteacherchat I agree that we need to foster independence and ensure that children are able to use their knowledge and experiences to understand the world they live in. Building a thirst for knowledge and enjoyment of learning is key.

@Headteacherchat I'd agree but this has to also be met with a consistent question around 'How can we best support staff with this?' or similar... Hard to be an effective leader if you can't retain staff and their expertise.

Really enjoyed the piece in @CharteredColl Impact by @smlovatt and @JDavey_PriEd - focusing on supporting the professional identity of trainee teachers with dyslexia. A great read and amazing to see it in print!
